Robert Poth - Alpine Ski Racer

Robert Poth is a 18 year old Alpine ski racer from Potters Bar in Hertfordshire, UK. He is a Team GB U18 selected winter athlete with a British Olympic Association Silver Passport.

In January 2014, Robert travelled to France to compete in two FIS Night Slalom races held in Chamonix, France. In the U18 International age bracket Robert won both a Silver and Bronze Medal.

On 1st February in Combloux, Robert competed in two CIT Slalom races. From a start bib of 58 Robert managed to ski into 20th spot achieving a personal best result in slalom of 56.42 points and also placing second British.

Next up for Robert was the English Alpine Championships in Bormio, Italy from 16th – 21st February 2014. With a score of 85.23 in the NJR Giant Slalom race, Robert won a Silver Medal.

Robert went on to finish the season on a high by achieving 55 FIS points in Slalom which ranked Robert 1st in Britain and 95th in the world for his age group. A big well done from Team BUFF®!
