Brilliant, really cool, able to breath in it and it is also good any time of the year!
I've been wearing this for 3 years now, up mountains & in the sea, good as new when washed. I prefer this to my other one wytch has has a whiter inside (this one has a blacker inside). I'm looking to get a colour one - this black does go with everything including suits. Totally breathable, have slept with it on too many nights & my long hair is none the worse for it. Honestly can't fault it! ^o^
Polar BUFF was very helpful for my Antarctic expedition, and it keeps me warm in even extreme weather. It’s also very comfortable and adaptable for many activities. I find it more helpful than a scarf especially for outdoor activities. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves outdoor activities like a polar expedition!
A cold day in February was chosen to try out the Buff in the Brecon Beacon's, South Wales with an air temperature of minus 1C and wind chill of -4C, perfect conditions.
This one does exactly what it says on the packet. It protected me from a cold Welsh wind whilst keeping my neck comfortably warm and wicking away any moisture. I was very impressed and will certainly be wearing it on all my winter trips. I may also add the the matching wind-proof hat in the future.

Its better to be on the hill - than over the hill
Got this 7 mounth ago and since then is has been to the snow, on top of mountains and bush walking. On dogs around the house. It has held up well.
I use it for road cycling. Just used it at -2°C and was plenty warm. Nose-mouth area is a little loose but the rest of it fits well. The choice of material is excellent with the WS in the right areas. The WS is backed with fleece which works well with a thicker non-WS material around the neck and thinner matrial at the top of the head. Criticisms: when pushing it hard the breathing holes are not quite adequate enough to let air in. The nose part is fine but I find I breath more through my mouth than nose. The ear holes make a wind tunnel effect that is very loud. So rather than allowing you to hear they make it harder to hear over the wind. I use cycling glasses and they steam up very easily unlike my other non-WS thermal balaclava.
