I bought this one last winter (2015) to add to my collection of other buff products. I have merino wool buffs, standard material buffs, SPF buffs, and now this one. I have to say THIS one is what I wore on my head all winter long. I used the standard, thinner material for my neck (until I started wrapping with a shemagh), and this buff kept my bald head toasty all winter.
I am getting a couple more just to be able to mix up the colors, but trust me when I say that this one is truly the warmest, best fitting, most versatile of all of the collections, and not so long that it requires excess twisting, tucking, or hanging material.
The quality of the buff was insane, super soft merino wool was the ideal comforter during the cold nights and windy walking during the day. for me the buff was best used on summit night - I was able to use it to keep my neck warm as well as pull it over my mouth to reduce the effects of the thin cold air. The buff stood well with the sweat and dirt that was thrown its way and I would definitely get another one for sure! The wicking of the material made the buff super breathable as well! Fantastic buff!!
Buying a new one as a lost my previous. Tested for the winters of Scotland and the Summers of Costa Rica with excellent results. My favourite design.
The Polar BUFF® is very warm for cold conditions; when I took it to the River Dart in Devon it manages to keep me warm at night when it was freezing cold and in the morning when I got on the water, very comfortable which means the heat can stay in it and allow cold air to escape.

Speedy delivery, well packaged, item as described.
This is a short review.
Had one of these for over a year.
Used it in UK all seasons as hat, balaclava, bandanna, neck protector & in Australian Rain forest.
It has kept shape and colour well.
Apart from Midge Hell in Dales (nothing would have worked) it has kept bugs away.
Good bit of kit and my go to buff.
Probably be tempted to another at some point :-)
