Brad 'Lil' Ripper' Rowell - Snowboarder
Brad Rowell is 12 years old and a freestyle snowboarder from Dorset. He began boarding at the age of 11 and is progressing fast.
Brad uses his local slope, "Snowtrax" which is the South of England's premier dryslope - he's always seen doing something a bit random; if there's a trick to be learned there's no stopping him: inverts, 720's rails etc !
He rides in all weathers, the wetter and faster the better! Unfortunately this means he broke his collar bone October 2012 after pushing the himself to the limit. Against Doctor's orders he was back on the slope by Boxing Day - therer really is no stopping him!

William Sichel - Ultra Runner
William was told he “might be an ultra runner” in 1994, following some success at ‘ordinary’ marathon running but reporting that he “wasn’t exhausted at the finish”. He enjoyed instant success, winning the Scottish 100km (62 miles) Championships in July of that year. William went on to get his first Scottish vest in 1995 and his Great Britain call-up in 1996. He represented GB in all European and World 100km Championships through the 90’s. He also won the British Championships and the World Age-Group Championships at the 100km distance. During the early part of the 2000’s William focused on 24 hour races, being ranked in the World Top 10 for two years. He had outright 24 hour wins in Switzerland, the USA and the UK. William also tackled some classic ultra distance events including the Spartathlon (twice) – 153 miles from Athens to Sparta, setting a Scottish event record and the World’s hottest race, the Badwater Ultra marathon, through Death Valley in California, setting a British event record. In 2006 he had a winning debut in his first 6 Day race, in Monaco and became the overall World No1 in that event, for that year. Since then, multi-day races, up to 1000 miles in length, have become his specialty. In the November 2011 Monaco “No Finish Line” 8 Day race (which had over 6,000 participants) William won the event outright, set a new course record and became the first person to cover more than 1000km during the 8-day race. For some years William have been engaged in Project 60@60 in which he was attempting to have set 60 ultra distance records, at World, British and Scottish level, including age-groups, before his 60th birthday on October 1st 2013. The two 1000km records, achieved in Monaco in November 2012, marked his 59th and 60th records thus achieving his target 10 months ahead of schedule. Full details are provided HERE. Now this target has been achieved, William will, in September, announce a new record target, taking him up to the age of 65. “I use a range of BUFFS in racing and training depending on the prevailing weather conditions. In my extreme, multiday races I often have to cope with cold nights and hot days all within each 24 hour cycle. With a suitable BUFF to hand I don’t have to worry about maintaining my comfort levels.” The Scotsman newspaper described William as a ”role model for the middle aged”.

Sarah Outen, Oceon Rower and Adventurer
Sarah Outen is a record-breaking ocean rower, self-confessed fruitloop and lover of life. She's at her happiest when she's out on the water or off on some sort of adventure, sharing it with others, or simply munching chocolate. In 2009 she rowed into the record books with her mammoth 124 day row from Australia to Mauritius, becoming the first woman ever to row across The Indian Ocean. Not content to stay at home and knit, she is currently planning a Sarah-powered loop of the planet, to take her from 'London to London: Via the World' starting in 2011. By September 2011 Sarah is making good progress - she now has 10,000 cycling miles under her belt through 10 countries since she left Tower Bridge on 1 April. By mid September she kayaked across from Russia to Sakhalin Island and is now making her way down that island before kayaking across first to Hokkaido and then to Honshu. Her first book 'Don't Stop Me Now' is due to be published in February 2011, by Summersdale.

Cairngorm Sleddog Centre
The Cairngorm Sleddog Centre was established in 2000 by the Stewart Family who have trained and raced sleddogs for 20yrs. The Stewarts have raced and trained all over the world and their son John is involved within the sport at the very highest level in Yukon and Alaska. Alan and Fiona live at the base of the Cairngorm mountain range, a Scottish National Heritage site deep within the Cairngorm National Park, in a 260 yr old cottage with 39 sleddogs. The main goal for clients coming to the CSC is to get an insight into real sleddogs training for races overseas, the history, the breed, background, and our life with the dogs. We don’t do "Husky Joy rides" In the summer Alan and John are both commercial North Sea divers - another area they wear Buffs in! In 2006 CSC won the Scottish Tourist Award. Paul Everitt, Cycle Adventurer
Paul Everitt, 29, from Grimsby is a plumber by trade. On May 1st 2010 he left his home town of Grimsby, England on his 4 wheeled, 4 seater Bikecar on a mission to Turkey. Sadly the trip ended in Italy after passing through the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany and right through the heart of the Swiss Alps. A year later the Bikecar had a face lift and Paul was ready for another adventure to a new continent. On April 29th 2011 with the safe arrival of the Bikecar in the port of Halifax, NS Canada he began this new journey. Slowly after 5 months and 3 days on the roads in Canada, Paul had covered over 7000km with the aid of 20+ people (both friends and complete strangers) who had helped him cycle through both gentle and harsh terrain. On 2nd October 2011 Paul made it to Mile "0" in Victoria BC, Canada and decided to extend the trip and keep on pedalling south into America along the west coast and finally end somewhere in Mexico. Paul’s adventure is not just about the travel and experience its also about raising awareness and funds for injured troops from the British, Canadian and American armed forces who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. “I'm also trying to promote travelling in a unique way and making your own dreams come true, anything is possible if you put your heart into it. That's something I have come to learn while on the road. Since day one an Original Buff has not left my head – I don’t know what I would have done without it!” April 2013 Update. Tom Curtis, Triathlete
Tom is an elite triathlete based in Loughborough. He trains alongside some of the best athletes in the world and although he has always been involved in competitive sport, it wasn’t until he started to compete in triathlon that he found his passion. At present, Tom races for Total Fitness Bath and Brive Limousine (professional French racing team). His most memorable race was the World Aquathlon Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland, and his claim to fame is that he holds the fastest bike split at The Royal Windsor Triathlon, which has been staged for the last 19 years. Triathlon provides Tom with the determination, motivation and discipline to succeed and he is enjoying every minute of it. Scott WIlson, MTB Trials Rider
21 year old MTB trials rider Scott Wilson is from Lydd in Kent. He has been competing for 13 years, taking part in his first competition just after his 6th birthday. Scott competes all over the UK and the world. He has been six times British champion, British Elite indoor champion Ebtc and Hbtc club champion, European Number 2 & 3 and World champion. In August 2012 Scott was made the first ever Rider Representative to the committee of the Biketrial International Union, the sports governing body. He said "It was a very big shock, especially as before hand I had no idea it was happening. But I am very honoured to have been selected and that I am the rider they thought would be best for the job." His other achievements this year include;
British National Trials Cup, World Elite Class - 3rd
World Bike Trial Championship, Elite - 11th (France, Spain, Italy)
European Bike Trial Cup Round 2 - 5th, overall – 12th (competed in 1 of 3 rounds, Denmark)

Invited to the ‘GP Santal Marina di Pietrasanta’ (2,500 spectators present) 5th place finish
Invited to compete in the GAS Arena at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in front of thousands of spectators where he finished in 2nd place. Quite a year - well done Scott.

Tom Sturdy, Triathlete
Tom started triathlon when he joined the students club at Loughborough University where he was studying Aeronautical Engineering. He was instantly and completely hooked Tom is now competing in triathlon at a professional level and focussing on middle distance events to make the most of his strong bike leg. He also enjoys racing over the Olympic distance races which are so well represented in the UK. Last season injury forced Tom to put his long distance goals on hold whilst he had good success winning the UK's Olympic distance national ranking series. In 2011, following a winter of solid work in the Brecon Beacons Tom is looking forward to returning to longer distance racing and will be competing in the European events of the Ironman 70.3 series as well as having a good go at some newer events like the tri-star "111's". “Before my triathlon days I dabbled in quite a few sports: I competed at national level slalom kayaking, county level running, adventure racing, alpine climbing and whilst not really a sport I spent a fair amount of time on expeditions across Europe (including a decent spell in the arctic). It was on one of these adventures that I first discovered Buff products and I have not considered anything else since! My favourite Buff product is the Polar Buff: I could also list this one as my least favourite but only because it leaves me with no excuse not to just 'get on with it' when the bitter cold sets in! Lewis Cornish
19 year old Lewis Cornish, from Norfolk has been competing in Supermoto events at British and International level since an early age and by the time he was 14 years-old, Lewis already had two British Junior Supermoto titles to his name. Over the years the sport has allowed him to compete in events as far afield as the United States of America,Australia and across a variety of European destinations. Supermoto is a highly competitive sport and Lewis over the years has demonstrated his commitment and talent to place him amongst the top ten riders in the UK. In his first Elite season Lewis took his Nameplate Services KTM 450 to a well-deserved ninth place in the British Championship which is an impressive achievement from the youngest racer in this super tough class. Lewis' talents were duly noted in 2010 when he represented Team Great Britain at the 2010 Supermoto of Nations, which is recognised as the Olympics of bikesport. Lewis shows maturity and racecraft beyond his years and when competing utilises both his professionalism and psychological approach to aim for a podium place. His role outside of Supermoto is that of lifeguard and Lewis understands the importance of staying in peak physical condition to enable him to undertake both this role and to keep his competitive edge on the track.
Supermoto is a demanding and physical bike sport and I use Original Buff as part of my kit. I still have my old Daffy Duck Buff which I wore for my very first race in Winter 2005, but I guess my favorite is my UK Flag Buff which I wore when I represented Team GB at the 2010 Supermoto of Nations. Lewis Black, Motorcycle Racer
Lewis began riding motorcycles at the age of six in local fields In March 2006, Lewis entered the Low Capacity Road Racing Clubs Pitbike Supermoto championship where he finished the season 4th overall. March 2007 Lewis competed in the GP50 rookie class at just nine years old (10 in July) in spite of the tight twisty track of Three Sisters, the early signs were fantastic. Lewis led the race from start to finish, this continued throughout the season until he was finally crowned “2007 GP 50 Rookie British Champion”, the youngest ever at only 10 years old. The bike was then converted into a GP50 open spec, which meant more horsepower and better tyres. Now he was playing with the big boys and again the youngest on the grid. Lewis won three races outright and went on to finish the season third overall in the National Pocket Bike GP50 Open British Championship. The 2009 season saw Lewis promoted to the GP70 Open British Championship. He was on the same bike except with even greater horsepower and Lewis dominated the whole championship. His worst place was 3rd. He sealed the championship with two rounds to go and was crowned “2009 NPS GP70 Open British Champion and “British GP70 Conti Cup Champion at only 12 years old. The plan for 2010 was that Lewis would be part of the Aprilia Superteens Championship. However, a chance conversation with Moto GB gave him a two year contract to race two factory supported Cagiva Mito Sp525 (125cc). Lewis is now part of this prestigious brand and the televised Motorcycle Racing Organisation (MRO) Superteens Championship.

Alex Flynn, Ultra Runner
Alex Flynn is an ultra marathon runner and adventurer who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, an incurable disease, in 2008. Since then he has set his sights on running, crawling, swimming, riding 10 million metres (over 6000 miles) to raise money for research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s. In 2009 Alex undertook the Marathon des Sables, one of the toughest foot races on earth, but he failed to complete the race when medics diagnosed cardio peritonitis. Despite this, he raised almost £2000 for The Cure for Parkinson's Trust. Since then Alex has taken part in and has plans for other extreme ultra and adventure running events around the world. Embodying the true Buff spirit of Adventure, in April 2010 Alex became the first Parkinson’s sufferer to complete the 250km Marathon des Sables in temperatures averaging over 140ºF. “The Buff Apparel socks are the most comfy and hard wearing socks I have come across. Petra Wiltshire, Downhill Mountain Bike Racer
Petra has been a professional downhill mountain bike racer for over 15 years having played International Hockey prior to that. She has raced all over the world, representing Great Britain at World Cups, European Championships and World Championships. Petra has been Masters World Champion three times winning for the third time this year in Brazil. Outside of races Petra is a mountain bike guide and coach, working in the Swiss & French Alps during the summer months. In the winter she is a Ski & Telemark Instructor for Freeride Company in Champery, Switzerland. Dan Green has been competing in his surf kayak in the UK and world circuit now for five years. He has surfed throughout the world in places such as Bali, California, Ireland, Spain, France, Portugal and Morocco.

Steve Fabes, Adventure Cyclist
Like most decisions of great consequence, Steve happened upon the route for Cycling The 6 in a pub garden, beer in one hand, mini-Atlas in the other. The plan hatched was to travel the length of six continents, all by bicycle. He left his job as a hospital doctor to complete the solo journey which will take up almost five years of his life and see him pedal some 50,000 miles through over 50 countries - a distance roughly equivalent to twice around the earth. His plan is to travel only by bicycle over land with the odd boat ride to connect up his journey around the planet. Steve says “To invest this hare-brained endeavour with some worthy purpose I am trying to raise a pound per mile for the medial aid agency Merlin - the only specialist UK charity which responds worldwide with vital health care and medical relief for vulnerable people caught up in natural disasters, conflict, disease and health system collapse. I’m also planning to trace a route through regions affected by the Neglected Tropical Diseases as defined by the World Health Organisation and to witness firsthand their effect on local populations.” "As I set off on my bicycle from London in January of 2010 the coldest winter in 30 years descended on Europe. My Buff was immediately brought into action and I used it every day on the European leg of my bicycle adventure. Without it I don’t know how I would have coped with cycling through -20 degrees C high in the Alps, and it even protected my face when the children of Kent decided to pelt me with snowballs. Hywel Morgan, Angler
Hywel Morgan is one of the leading anglers in the UK and is regularly seen demonstrating at shows all over Britain andEurope. He has been European and World Casting Champion. During his competitive career he amassed the following titles:
He is also one of the most successful anglers in the UK and has represented Wales on twelve occasions (and has been captain for his country three times). Six times were at Home Internationals, where he was Top Rod on three occasions. The other six were at World Championships, where he captained the Welsh team to a silver medal in Ireland in 1995 and was a member of the silver medal winning team at England 2000. Individually he has been one of the most successful competitors from all the home countries, gaining results in silver, 4th, 7th and 10th places. Hywel has presented programmes on fishing for Discovery Shed, Horse and Country TV, and Welsh TV channel S4C as well as appearing on main stream TV programmes as a guest. Mimi Anderson
Mimi Anderson, 48 year-old long distance running grandmother, started running at the age of 36, teaching herself how to run on a treadmill. Ultra Marathons soon became her focus and held the real excitement and motivation for her. On the 28th July 2008 Mimi became the new Female World Record holder for the fastest woman to run 840 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End finishing in 12 days 15 hours and 46 minutes. On Saturday 23rd October 2010 Mimi set a new world record of 403.81 miles for the furthest distance covered on a treadmill by a female in seven days. This also happens to be the furthest distance covered on a treadmill by a female in seven days wearing Buff Headwear! On 11th July 2011, World Record holder Mimi set another record with her double Badwater run by breaking the former women’s record by 21 hours whilst raising money for a cure for Parkinson's. 108 hours, 10 minutes and 24 seconds after leaving the start line of the famous ‘Badwater’ 135 mile non-stop race in the USA Mimi returned to that same start line having completed the race distance both ways to cover a distance of 292 miles and set a new women’s record for doing so by 21 hours – also the third fastest time ever! During the attempt Mimi was also aiming to help fellow runner Alex Flynn raise £1 million in his ‘10 Million Metres’ campaign to fund vital research that may lead to a cure for Parkinson's disease. Robert Poth
Robert's haul of medals and trophies escalated over the Easter week where he competed with his club, "Team Slalom Plus" at the Scottish ski racing championships in Courchevel and the British Children's ski racing championships in Meribel, France. During the six day period of both championship events, Robert competed in nine championship races and clean swept his age group once again winning every single one! This is a record that no other British ski racer has ever achieved to date and an exceptional achievement for such a young athlete. During the 2011 winter ski race season, Robert stepped up to an older age category (U15) where he was one of the youngest athletes. He has continued to prove his natural talent as an alpine ski racer with constant, numerous top results for his year of birth. Robert is the current U15 British Indoor Ski racing Champion and after his breath taking results at the Snow Sport England BASS Indoor slalom races held in Landgraaf, Holland where he won the U15 age group by more than 3 seconds he was described by a ski racing magazine ‘ RACER READY’ as “a class act in children’s ski racing…. and “certainly one to watch out for in the future!”

TMUK Motorcross Team
Profile: The TM Motorcross team consists of five riders: Stuart Edmonds Stuart, who has ridden TM Racing machinery since he was a schoolboy competitor, won both the Irish MX1 and MX2 titles in 2009, competed in the Motocross Of Nations representing Ireland in 2010 in Colorado. In 2011 he is currently leading the ACU British 2-Stroke Championship, running second in the MCF Open 2-Stroke Championship, holding 9th in the British MX2 Motocross Championships and 4th in the Red Bull Pro National Series. Stuart will also be representing Ireland once more in the 2011 Motocross Of Nations in France in September. Jim Davies Jim took the honour of being crowned the British 125cc 2-Stroke Champion in 2009 on his TM Racing machine. After a few injuries in the 2010 season he could only manage a 2nd place in last year’s Championship, Jim currently sits 2nd in the 2012 Championship with three rounds remaining, resides in 4th place in the MCF Open 2 stroke Championship and sits in 2nd place in the ACU British 125cc Championship with one round left. Jim has also broken the back of the ACU British Motocross Championship MX1 class taking points in several rounds on board a 250cc 2-Stroke machine against the mighty 450cc 4 strokes. Ryan Pottenger Ryan, who was crowned the British Masters Clubman Champion in 2009, took the big leap to British Championship status in 2010. He finished 5th in the 2010 MCF British 125cc 2-Stroke championship and in 2011 currently sits inside the top ten in the British 2 Stroke Championship, the ACU British 2-Stroke Championship and is knocking on the points scoring positions in the ACU MX1 British Motocross Championships.
Christian Lyth Christian is going all out in 2011 on TM Racing 125cc and 250cc 2-Stroke machines in the MCF British 2 Stroke Championships in the junior class. As of August 2011 he resides in 4th in the 125cc class and 3rd in the Open class on his TM machines and has recently taken to the top step of the podium again at the last round, narrowly missing out taken the victory in both classes. Charles (Chas) Statt Young Chas was the 2010 MCF British 125cc 2-Stroke Junior Champion. In 2011 he made the move into the Expert class and is currently giving his elder team mates a good run lying 6th in the current Championship standings. Chas has also gained an incredible following at the British Masters events were he competes in the heavily dominated 250cc 4-Stroke class on his TM 125cc machine and has taken countless wins, fastest laps, hole-shots and lies in 4th place overall with a championship podium placing firmly in his sights. ‘Our favourite Buff headwear item is our TM Racing personalised Original Buff. Craig Sheridan
Craig Sheridan is a musician & firefighter who follows an active lifestyle, not only when on duty, but in his passion for the outdoors, mountain biking, kitesurfing , running and many other sports. Craig's connection with BUFF Headwear though is through his music and his many fundraising events and shows. Playing regularly in Kent and in his home country, Wales, he performs his music and works raising money for both the Pilgrims Hospices in (Kent) & and St Davids foundation (Wales). Craig teamed up with BUFF some 3 years ago (2009) shortly before the release of his first album “Red on Maroon”, proceeds from the sales of which go to the Pilgrims Hospices (as of October 2012 having raised some £1650). BUFF have also worked with Craig and Pilgrims Hopsice to produce a scustomised “Hospice BUFF“. Craig has many exciting things on the horizon and pushes relentlessly with his music, fundraising and helping others. At the end of 2013 he plans to release his 2nd album , “As I Am “ and has plans for a single release especially for Valentines Day. In November, Craig will be releasing a charity calendar , again, to raise money for both hospices. BUFF are proud to be backing Craig & wish him every success

Jenny Morgan, Enduro Motorcyclist
Jenny Morgan - Dakar Rally and enduro motorcycle racer Jenny has been involved with adventure motorcycling and competitive off-road riding for much of her adult life, and in addition to desert racing, has undertaken a number of solo motorcycle expeditions in northern Africa and North America. Jenny is also a competent motorcycle mechanic and carries out all the preparation work on a diverse collection of machines, including her current Yamaha rally bike. When not riding or racing, she is a freelance journalist and photographer specializing in adventure travel writing for the automotive press in the UK. In 2011, Jenny was the only UK female motorcycle competitor on the notorious Dakar Rally [formally the Paris-Dakar] held in South America each year. Unfortunately she suffered a major accident during a special stage in the Chilean desert, and had to withdraw with serious leg injuries. After an extended period of recuperation and rehabilitation over this past year, Jenny is now in a position to return to rally racing, and over the next few months will be embarking on a brand new campaign to return to the Dakar Rally in January 2014. “I am delighted that BUFF headwear were able to support my Dakar 2011 campaign so comprehensively, and that we will continue our association for my future campaign. Throughout my career I’ve felt it essential to have a genuine affinity with any products I’m endorsing, and have always chosen BUFF because of their quality and designs. I am very excited that this coming year I’ll be able to offer my supporters a custom-printed design for my new Dakar Rally campaign. Without this kind of support I simply couldn’t compete at this level of racing."

Dave Cornthwaite, Creative Explorer
Dave has been planning and making content-rich expeditions since 2005, when he chucked in his job as a graphic designer to try and skate further than anyone ever skated before. Twenty two months later Dave and his longboard, Elsa, had amassed some 4500 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End and then Perth to Brisbane, which earned him a few blisters and a Guinness World Record. Dave’s ongoing career as a professional adventurer is now defined by Expedition1000, an ambitious undertaking to complete twenty five journeys of over 1000 miles, each using a different form of non motorised transport. In 2009 Dave kayaked the length of Australia’s largest river, the Murray, and in 2011 he completed a long distance sail and rode the Mississippi by Stand Up Paddleboard, setting a new World Record in the process. In August 2012 Dave commenced his swim of the Missouri river. He only needs to find another twenty one viable modes of transport to help him cover a total distance that will exceed the length of the Equator. The end is in sight! 'I have been seen wearing a High UV Protection BUFF but without doubt my top choice is a Visor BUFF. I often travel in ruthlessly hot environments and being of pale complexion it’s imperative that I cover up. Headwear that is light and packs into a tiny space comes in handy, but it’s gotten to the point that I feel a bit naked when I’m not wearing my Visor BUFF, however I’m travelling.' Dave Lewis, Sea Angler
Dave is a recently retired full time Fire Fighter, and today works as a full time angling photo/journalist. For the past twenty years he has worked in the role of contributing editor to Sea Angler Magazine, the UK’s largest circulation specialist sea angling magazine. His numerous articles and photography are often published in other UK and European angling magazines, and further afield in South Africa. He is also a frequent contributor to two of the top American saltwater fishing magazines, Sport Fishing and Marlin Magazine. Dave has regularly appeared on various fishing TV programs, including Sky Sports Tight Lines and since 1996 Dave has worked as a tackle consultant to Shimano UK. Dave travels extensively to fish; currently he has visited a total of 87 different countries and has fished in most of them. He works as a destination consultant to Chesterfield based Anglers World Holidays, researching and promoting new angling destinations around the world, and to which he frequently hosts/guides groups of clients on specialist fishing trips in both salt and fresh water. Regardless of which hemisphere, latitude or climate he is fishing in, Dave always makes certain he packs a suitable item of BUFF headwear to ensure the experience is as comfortable as possible!
