Sarah Outen, Oceon Rower and Adventurer

Sarah Outen is a record-breaking ocean rower, self-confessed fruitloop and lover of life. She's at her happiest when she's out on the water or off on some sort of adventure, sharing it with others, or simply munching chocolate.

In 2009 she rowed into the record books with her mammoth 124 day row from Australia to Mauritius, becoming the first woman ever to row across The Indian Ocean. Not content to stay at home and knit, she is currently planning a Sarah-powered loop of the planet, to take her from 'London to London: Via the World' starting in 2011.

By September 2011 Sarah is making good progress - she now has 10,000 cycling miles under her belt through 10 countries since she left Tower Bridge on 1 April.  By mid September she kayaked across from Russia to Sakhalin Island and is now making her way down that island before kayaking across first to Hokkaido and then to Honshu.

Her first book 'Don't Stop Me Now' is due to be published in February 2011, by Summersdale.
