Profile: Danny began waging war in the muddiest of ditches in bog snorkelling triathlons and progressed to the front line of battle with his cycle to India. His latest plan is to throw down the gauntlet to prospective warriors, not only do they get to realise their dreams but they will also help raise pots of cash for charity.

I love people. I love colour. I love bicycles...

Riding a racing bike took me around the world racing for Great Britain. A mountain won me the Guinness World Record for Bog Snorkelling Triathlon. My touring bike, the beautiful Shirley, took me 15,000km and half way round the world to India where I taught at a school in the jungle.

Unlike planes, trains and automobiles; cycling opens the world up to you, not just the cities. You get to places slowly, but the most exciting doors take longer to open.
