Mimi Anderson

On 11^th July 2011, World Record holder Mimi set another record with her double Badwater run by breaking the former women’s record by 21 hours whilst raising money for a cure for Parkinson's.

108 hours, 10 minutes and 24 seconds after leaving the start line of the famous ‘Badwater’ 135 mile non-stop race in the USA Mimi returned to that same start line having completed the race distance both ways to cover a distance of 292 miles and set a new women’s record for doing so by 21 hours – also the third fastest time ever!

During the attempt Mimi was also aiming to help fellow runner Alex Flynn raise £1 million in his ‘10 Million Metres’ campaign to fund vital research that may lead to a cure for Parkinson's disease.
