Extreme Adventure Racing Team

Profile:
Team Mercury is a three man British Army team that will be competing in the 2011/12 Centenary Race to the South Pole - a 560 mile trek across one of the most extreme environments in the world.  The team comprises of Capt William Morris, WO1 (RSM), Mark Morgan and WO1 (RSM) Sean McIlroy. All three have served all over the world including Iraq and most recently Afghanistan. They have always loved competiton and the outdoors which has brought them to be involved in some of the most extreme races in the world including the Marathon des Sables, North Pole Marathon and the Yukon Arctic Ultra.

They are racing in Aid of the Army Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes and The Royal Signals Benevolent Fund and hope to raise £60,000.
